Unfortunately, there are no exercises that can help you improve your height. Your height will be determined by your genetics.
If you are still growing, the best you can do is to ensure you are active, healthy and eating well to optimize your genetic potential.
On the extremes, there are a few medical interventions that can improve height, but those are usually reserved for specific cases. These include very invasive surgeries as well as hormone treatments.
But in terms of exercise, nothing will change you height.
That is also a genetics question. You will most likely continue to grow for as long as your parents did. I finally stopped when I was in my early 20s, other people I know pretty much stopped in the teens. The way to know for sure is to check with your doctor. If your growth plates are open, you will grow. If they are close, the chances are slim.
1) Sleep – Growth hormone speeds the absorption of the nutrients and amino acids into the cells, and aids growth during deep sleep. Not getting sleep regularly can lower the amount of growth hormone the body produces daily. Excess sleep will also not help secretion. Never eat a large meal within two hours of going to sleep. The body releases greatest amount of growth hormone during this time. Having excess insulin (for digesting sugar in food) within the system suppresses the higher output of growth hormone, preventing the body from taking advantage of the rest.
2) Eat Smarter - Focus on eating four to five smaller meals during your day instead of three or four larger ones. A large meal not only forces the body to store fat but also inhibits the flow of growth hormone in the blood stream due to higher insulin level. A well balanced and appropriate diet maintained throughout childhood in the absence of illness will probably lead to the maximum height possible. The average of a male is 5`6” in 1970 and this has increased to 5`9” now because of nutritious food. So believe, we are not just following our anchestors in height.
3) Healthy Lifestyle - Training right, sleeping right, eating right and keeping stress to a minimum will not only keep one healthy but will also foster the type of environment that encourages the anterior pituitary gland to do its job. Deficit in any of these areas will slow down the body functions as a whole, which in turn slows down the amount of growth hormone that is pumped into the system.
4) Exercises- Exercises with hanging bar and skipping will increase height to a certain extent. They also promote muscle growth.
