Question:
Bad experience with Caffeine?
Have you ever had a bad experience with Caffeine? My HR goes through the roof at relatively low doses, why is this?

Caffeine is a neurotoxin, which increases firing/activity of the neurons in the brain, and also a systemic effect on the body including increasing heart rate, you may just one of the lucky people that is very sensitive to it, even at low dosage.

I have done some research into caffeine. I have read literature that has seen an increase inthe incidence of sudden death syndrome. Could this be due to the sypathetic affect of caffeien / taurine on a highly developed heart? I think you are right about me being sensitive to caffeine. Had a cappuccino the other night and didn't sleep until 4am! Will have to stick to herbal! Thanks,
p.s. Why are you so knowledgable about caffeine?

As well as being a chiropractor,I have an interest in all aspects of nutrition because it has a huge effect on our health, so i read any nutrition books and articles i can get my hands on. When i get the time I might do some nutritional diploma. I find www.mercola.com is a good resource for nutrition.
