Question:

Abs: 3 best exercises?

Many people ask why i give them ab exercises that they cannt do more then 20 reps per set of , I get them to move arm positions to make it tougher if they reach 20 for example, they see too many guys pumping out hundreds of reps and feel thats what they should do, how can i get it into their heads my way is better ( Teens esp ) This got me thinking what three ab exercises couldnt u do without ( dont 4 get the obliques ) DOES ANYNE DO 250 + WHY

best three ab exercises? what a question!!!
for me, dead bug, stability ball plank (single leg) and oblique plank.
for my clients? woodchops, russian twists and stability ball ab curl.
if someone can do 250 reps of an ab exercise they either arent doing it properly or are in grave risk of injury!!!
what about you?

DONT do 250 reps - your injure you're abs. do say 20 take a rest then do another 20. Rest inbetween!

Plank(all forms), hanging knee/leg raise, Decline sit-up, and bibcycle crunches. 250 or more? At most I will do 100 sit-ups straight, but that is for a APFT. Treat the abs more or less like the other muscle groups.

Take it in sets, either in 10 or 20, which ever you are comfortable with but don't forget to take a small break inbetween...
