Building core and arm strength
Can anyone tell me how i can build up both my core strength and arm strength for golf? i have all ready tired press-ups and sit-ups but neither have had the desired affects.

I am not too familiar with golf, however, I have heard that working on a Bosu ball is extremely good. The link above will give you a couple of exercises, this is for stability and core strength. I'd suggest some proprioception exercises too to improve on your balance and strengthen the ankles (for rugged terrain).
The other, is practicing your swing with a hoola-hoop. Be sure to get the correct size for your arms to work. Hoola goes around the neck and hands hold the other point of the hoola. This will practice the desired circular/rotation action of the swing. Also improving on your core strength. Remember, what's done on the one side, HAS TO BE DONE ON THE OTHER SIDE. Try to maintain a balance between left and right, if not, injury may occur.
