Does brand matter when buying gear?

With footwork, simple rule is... does the shoe compliment your foot. For example, when i run i over pronate (my foot rolls inwards more than it should). Therefore i need to get antipronation shoes. If i got neutral or ones for underpronation I would get ankle, knee and eventually hip and lumbar injuries.

At the same time, get a pair that suit you, make sure they fit properly so you get the proper support... anything else is a bonus. All brands do the same, just sell them on the marketing and advertising with some bigshot i.e. alan iversen, shaq, etc etc...

Good luck with ya hoops ha ha, Chris

Hey mate
the shoe u get should be one that will support u in what u do yes there are some brands that may last longer but if u like me have a tendancy for ankle injuries the go for high ankled basketball shoes that will provide extra stability

and just remember style isnt everything on a basketball court some of the best games ive played have been in my ratty old shoes

its not the shoes its the player

and hey remember bballs for life, its a religion

It is very important to where shoes that suit you the most. If it makes you fitter you will look trendier than if you just wear nice shoes that have little effect
