At ur age theres so many ways to stay active. at 13 u av still alot of growing to do and tht includes height. u may find u will start losing fat as u grow honestly at ur age staying active should be ur aim. Let nature take its course and let ur body mature.....However diet is very important. u must eat the right things teenagers esp ...healthy eating comes a very close 2nd to an active life. When it comes to weight control u cannt have one without the other ( ACTIVE + GOOD HEALTHY EATING )

I agree with the above comment; an active lifestyle and healthy eating are the most important things at your age. In terms of exercise the most basic all round exercise is swimming, and it is low impact, so you should not feel it too much the next day. Walking and cycling are also good alternatives.

Try to do something every day if possible. Eventually you will look forward to it. Also, don't be put off if you gain weight initially, as that is just muscle developing, which weighs a lot more than fat.

The previous responses are totally correct in saying you should be keeping yourself active. Try lots of different activities because ultimately you'll find it easier to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle if you enjoy what you are doing. Look for activities that increase your heartrate slightly, like swimming, cycling etc. Even things like dancing do the job so just enjoy yourself trying all the different activites.

Good luck and well done for taking the initiative to lokk after yourself!

You already are in a active lifestyle which is good. You go swimming, try to do some exercise and play rugby. Make activity a regular feature also try different options such as cycling, skating which you may enjoy. Also nutrition plays a very important role if you only exercise and do not fuel right well you have got a wobbly table. Your goal of a healthy body lies on the three pillars that is exercise nutrition and rest. So take care to eat right. Avoid to much soda or junk foods or fries. Have more fruits, vegetables, roasted chicken, skimmed milk.

All the best ;)

I agree with the consensus on this one. You should not be focusing on losing weight at this age. By reducing what you eat and restricting nutrient intake, you could be storing up problems for latter life. As you grow your body needs a balanced diet with all the key nutrients. So eat a healthy balanced diet enjoy your training and stay healthy and as you grow it is likely once you stop growing you will end up with a low body fat level.
