Whenever you see the words skip rope, you can substitute them for any alternate form of cardiovascular exercise such as the stair stepper, elliptical trainer, treadmill, stationary bicycle, rower, jogging or high speed running in place…the possibilities for different aerobic exercises are endless.
After the warm up, do each set of the two exercises in this order:
The first listed for one minute, the second is a thirty-second rest; skip for one minute, repeat the cycle of sets three to five times.
Continually monitor your heart rate and keep it in the proper zone. If it goes too high then back off on the exercises by going slower.
