Depending on the intensity of your lifts (what percentage of your max you're lifting), resting between 2-5 mins should be appropriate.

Scientifically, it's said when training very heavy Anaerobically, you're rest should be no lower than a 1:3 ratio. Time spent exercise = 1 Time spent rest = 1tX3 AT MINIMUM. You want to fully replenish your ATP and ATPCP (1st energy source) otherwise risk losing strength.

If training for strength you should have anywhere from 3-5 minutes of rest.Little more strength can be regained except from prolonged rest.

Depend on the intensity
If you're working on 90-100% a min of 3 minutes break is required but you can do a 5 min break too. If you're working on:
75-85% - 90-180 sec
60-70% - 45-120 sec
40-55% - no breaks needed.
