My surgeon has told me I need a total knee replacement. How do I prepare for this?

Enquire about pain management option for post operation. Stop smoking entirely if you are a smoker.
if you have insurance, check with your insurance company for authorisation first 2 weeks before. Stop taking over the counter medication including asprin 1 week before the operation.
