Question:
Lower Abdominal/groin injury - still pain after 6 weeks,
Asked by adschonken - 2 answers - 2 weeks 6 days ago
Sustained a suspected tear of lower abdominal muscles with pain from the hip going down into the groin with stiffness and a pulling sensation along the inguinal area.CT scan showed no hernia.I have tried RICE and currently heat pads mainly with pain killers but the stiffness/pulling sensation and pain over the pubic bone just wont settle and gets worse after walking for about 30 min.Any advice would be great,ps has anybody used Decorin before

You may be experiencing that as a result of lifting too much weight. Avoid training to an extent that your muscles get too injured until you have to seek medical assistance, since i know normal muscle strains heal within two to three days. What i do is to just avoid training on that part or straining that part of the body on any excersice that i am doing.

Now ibet you are really anoyed with it being so long that the injury is lasting!!
I experienced a groin strain last year having done way too much long jump training. I found it took around 2 and a half months for it to completely clear but even after that, sometimes my groin ached.
