Weight Gain techniques?
I need to put on 2lb (it's a long story) but am in the middle of trying to tone my stomach by the time i go on holiday in 8 1/2 weeks time. I go to the gym 3 times a week for 1hr and do 20 mins cardio and 40mins stomach exercises aswell as stomach exercises on the day when i don't go to the gym. I eat lots of protein, but want to know if i put on the 2lb quickly, will it affect my toning time? Can i just do more cardio after i puton the weight?

to put weight on you need to increase your calorie intake. add 500 calories to your daily intake and keep it to the same percentage of carb/protein/fat. i would like to stress that your core is made of skeletal muscle like the rest of your 'moving' muscles therefore only need to be trained once or twice a week like the rest. therefore swap these for weight training exercises. do splits for example push/pull/legs 3 sets of 8-10 reps each body-part. good luck :)
try having more calories
also try wieght gain tablets
Do not try 'weight gain' tablets... whatever they are!?!?!
If you are trying to 'tone' or lower body fat for you holiday, gaining 2lbs will almost certainly be a conflicting goals to persue. You need to decide which is more important to you. Increasing kcal intake will obviously be key to gaining weight, however, if it is just what the scales say.. simply drink a litre of water, eat a big meal and wear more clothes when you weigh yourself.....
Muscle is denser then fat. Increase your calorie intake by 500kcal a day with foods rich in high-quality protein (lean meats) and complex carbs (pasta, oats). Be sure to have a mixture of EFAs from nuts, oils and so on.
