Question:

What alternatives are there to NSAIDs .

I am a 48 year old 1st Dan Black Belt, I tested in May of 06, I am continuing on to work toward my 2nd degree. I want to continue and perserve my joints in the process. As a PT I have helped many of my fellow students deal with some of the imbalances of Tae Kwon Do Training. It is particulary hard on the hips with almost universal ITB tightness in most adults. I have been dealing with chronic plantar faciaitis as well as two other 40 plus high level female students in my black belt group.

Hey Checca5,
Very good question on whether there is an alternative to NSAID's, the Chiropractic clinic that I work for stock a natural anti inflammatory product that is good for any inflammation based condition in the body, The product is called SerraPlus and you can find it at http://www.goodhealthnaturally.com/

Also sounds like you need some treatment for your ITB and Plantar fasciitis, I would recommend active release techniques (www.activerelease.com),on the website you will find information on the soft tissue technique and also the nearest provider to you in the uk.

Best Wishes
