Has been to specialists and the last suggested orthotics for her shoes. She is flat footed no arch, but continues to struggle and not had a successful season the past fall. any advice?

Has your daughter tried any foot intrinsics strengthening exercises?
While I believe orthotics do have their place, I would first spend the time and effort to rehabilitate the muscles of the foot prior to adding any external aids. If these muscles are retrained (just like any other muscle in the body), it's possible to forgo the orthotics.
As well, for a soccer player, hip motor control and activation drills are paramount.

I would suggest taking your daughter to a massage therapist who is knowledgeable about scar tissue who is trained in deep therapy and cross fiber friction therapy. Scar tissue is the bodies natural way of repairing it self. These are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal tissue after an injury has occurred. This scaring of the muscles and joint can cause muscles to become weak and loose flexibility and joints, ligament, and tendons to become unstable. Scar tissue is also the culprit of reoccurring injuries because of these factors. So breaking down this scar tissue is a must favorable rehab. And I am in total agreement with Dev Chengkalath putting on orthopedics is like putting high performance tires on a car with bad alignment, a crack axle, and bad breaks it won’t do anything for the performance of the car until those things are fixed. I wish you and your daughter the very best in your pursuit to wellness.
