Question:
Netball Strength program
I am trying to plan strength programs for a range of ages from about 10 years through to 18-20 for netballers. I have some of the basics but does anyone have any ideas for some more complex things that the older ones can do so they aren't so basic and boring?

may i know some ideas how to do interval training to gain speed in running for a netball players. In specific i would like to know for a person who plays WA. And what type of interval training would be needed for them.

1.)A really good interval training for a WA would be to start in the corner of the netball court, jog to the corner of the transverse line, sprint along the transverse line, jog to the next corner in the opposite direction, sprint along the transverse line, jog to the corner base line, sprint along the baseline, and repeat as much times as this builds up their endurance and a very good interval training technique.

I hope this will help, it works for the girls i coach, and also practice drills around the goal circle for the WA and C, so they know how to land, catch and "take" the ball without going offside.
Start them off at the transverse line and get them to practice "give and get" drills: WD is standing at the transverse line, WA drives onto the ball, recieves it from WD, passes it back and drives to the top of the circle and recieves the pass again.
I hope you enjoy these drills.
