pain in hip thigh and calf muscle when riding
hi i am 39 years old and and have been cycle racing for 20 years at a high level i train about 150-175 miles a week and have had no injury problems at all,over the last few weeks i have developed a pain in my hip thigh and side of my calf ,any ideas?????

Hey Rik,
I think you need to go see a qualified health professional who has a sports injuries background for a full assessment.
Saying that I have have treated plenty cyclists and triathletes, They commonly have the same problems, tight psoas muscles(Hip Flexors),iliotibial band syndrome and +/- some lower back stiffness.
I'm glad to see that you have had no injuries over the years so its important that you get your current injury sorted asap, I certainly don't recommend the wait and see approach.

I'll agree with sldc, just also make sure you stretch your gluteal muscles together with your hip flexors then.
