Hey,
there's heaps of good proprioception excercises - whilst cleaning your teeth you can roll a towel and place it under youer bare foot standing on one leg with stiffed knee. Movement is in your ankle only - lateral (inversion, eversion).

Or you can use your wife's broom. Put it on the floor and walk on the handle. Again, firm knees so that only ankles work.

And remember, you must always catch balance not keep it in order to gain progress in these excercises.

Lots of fun with it.

these two i use with my clients post knee and ankle injuries - brilliant for building up "quick response" balance and proprioception as well as "endurance".
1 stand in centre of an 8 point star (mark it out if nec) balance on one leg then toe touch at the end of each star point with the other foot, the deeper you bend to reach further the greater the balance needed. speed up, stand on a pillow and finish on wobble board to advance.
2 stand in centre of a cross (similar to above) stand on one leg and hop a 1/4 to left then to centre again. repeat to right. Keep other foot off floor at all times, and ensure you place and return the foot exactly onto the lines marked. increase distance round untill you can do a full circle - bloomin hard!!!!
hope these helped if it's a little garbled let me know!

One leg while close your eyes. listen to loud music, talk on the phone. To do it even more difficult you can stand on one leg on a towel.
