Question:
800m training
Last year (8th grade) I ran a 2:16.39 in the 800m . This year I am a freshman in high school and hope to drop that time as much under 2:10 as possible. Track starts up fairly soon and I want to gain even more speed. I have a treadmill in my house and a 400m track right across the street. Also, one time around my street is 0.45 miles. I tend to train better with less mileage and more speed as more mileage slows me down a little and speed makes me a better and stronger 800m runner.I want to get myself to reach the maximum potential. what kind of training would you reccommend that you or someone you know has tried and has worked very well for them? I would really appreciate it.

Interval work is good. Run a 400(hard), then rest and repeat. When you get really good, after you run a hard 400, starting jogging..do so for a minute and repeat.
Keep a little milage for endurance and use it for recovery days.
PPonline has several articles on the 800, check the mout if you can(very helpful).
Occasionally do squats and lunges to build up leg strength...
Make sure you do not over train

I found out if you double you're main event and train for that you're better off when you do the 800m. Just an idea though. Say train a day 800m and another 1600m and then 400m and repeat.
