running in the heat will lead to heat acclimatization. Your body will sweat more with less exertion and the sweat will be more diluted. In addition your plasma volume will increase so you can sweat more without ill effects. I'm not sure if VO2max will be impacted more by training in the heat compared with training in more mild temps tho.

Probably not. The only way it might is indirectly from conditioning your body to the pre-mature exhaustion and pain.
