Question:

How should the 100m dash pan out?

From out of thew blocks to finishing. Also maybe what should be done right before the call'up, to get me in the right frame of mind for the race

You need a strong reaction to the gun. Push from both legs against he blocks. 90 degree angle at knee of front leg, 120 back leg. Keep low for 20-30m - your trunk needs to be inclined so that your legs can push back against the track to accelerate you. Gradually lift into full running stride. Keep chest and hips up and relax. The best sprinters are the most relaxed and are those that decelerate the most. All sprinters will slow over the last 30m or so of the 100m.

Do: 40m sprints with a full 5min, plus recovery. Train fast and you'll get quicker, train slow and you'll not!
