Is there a program out there for a player to develop speed?
I'm 6-4 220 pounds but i run a 5.6 in the 40 yard dash is there someone who can tell me what i can do to get this number down i work really hard at it but i'm just not seeing any results if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appricated

Hi, I see that you already have a very specific goal you want to achieve. Are you a competitive sprinter? jerome9999 is right, plyometrics would work, but i suggest you getting an actual professional trainer that can monitor and supervise you. But there are alot of other factors that can be an impact to your performance. I am currently involved with mental sports training, if you like, PM me and see if i can help u a little.

You need to work on your acceleration. Get a good coach who has the expertise.

Try studying about sprinting technqiues and use the right strength programe as increased strength leads to increased speed but you have to choose the right kind of strength prorgrame for building anaerbobic power.

Plyometrics is really good, but what i think is most vital is getting some muscle training in there. Try squats or even deep squats with weights, it is perfect for developing speed
