It really depends on what sport you are doing, what your goal(s) are, how old you are, your experience, etc. For example, I am 48 and consider myself a sports enthusiast who is now concentrating on triathon. My fitness regime is based around a solid CV core (run 4-5 times per week, Bike 2 times per week, swim once a week) which I try to enhance by adding various workouts such as intervals (run, bike and swim) and hill reps. I also put in 2-3 sessions in the gym with weights and cross training (spinning, circuit classes, etc). Your training could be completly different if you are into strength sports for example.

Good luck

It depends on what your goals are - what sports you are in ? Are you into soccer fx. you'll do weight training as the first thing and then loads of interval training. This both condition and injury wareness training.

Briefly, training should suit the type of sporting activity, your age, level of fitness and any health problems you may suffer. I find effective training needs to be supported by the right gear & for running I use thermomedic therapy garments knee bands because they reduce joint pain, provide optimum physical support & prevent injury. More information is available at www.thermomedic.com I have followed the advice of a professional sports coach for many years & a well-planned training program supported by the correct gear is the key to long-term health. Hope this info helps.
