Those are all good places to look at, however, a truly powerful punch develops from the ground up.
Boxers such as Muhammed Ali use their entire kinetic chain to produce the power and force in their punches. It starts with how they set their feet on the ground and "coil" like a spring through their hips then transfer the power to their arms and fists.
Essentially, good punching is a technique and not as much about how much weight or exercise you do for the muscles in your forearm and arm.
Hope that helps.

As an addendum to the above answer, the best way to not need to punch someone is the avoid any fights. For those interested in fighting, I would suggest training for martial arts, boxing or mixed martial arts.

punching is a power exercise ..you have to develope strength and speed of movement so the best exercises for punches are:
power cleans and chin ups
squats and squat jumps
bench press and press up claps( plyometric push up )
1 sets of 8 first exercise then straight away do the second exercise for 1 minute to develope strength and stamina eg: squats eight reps thjen squat jumps fpr 1 minute straight after .
add cable exercises to simulate punching
add dynamic abdominal work too, such as med ball sit up throws against wall supersetted with planks
