Question:

What are the major muscles in the freestyle swimming stroke

I have been trying to look on the internet for information relating to muscles used in freestyle stoke and what action they cause

Lower body - hip flexors: flexion of the hip pbviously i.e. the leg coming forward and the gluteals which hyperextend the joint with the erector spinae

upper body - latissimus dorsi when returning the arm to the back of the stroke. The deltoids take the arms to the front end of the stroke.
