I just had a new knee put in and now I find I can’t bend my knee very far

first of all it depends you are in which stage of rehabilitation . generally to improve your ROM u can do the following exercises

Hanging legs straightening
Prone leg bending with the help of a towel
assited knee flexion exercises
mini squats
all will help in improving ROM

Depending on which phrase of the rehab you are on, good exercuse for ROM are
assisted flexion,mini-squats,mini-stork,assisted passive extension
and stationary bikes which are used at almost every physiotherapy clinic,
