Water is good like he said , and can sometimes be better then gatorade , powerade , etc... because it is pure , but as u see on TV a lot of professional athletes use/drink carbohydrated drinks , which help also . so if u want u can drink a little of both it shall work .

Plain water is the best, or you can have isotonic drinks which costs abit and have a little calories but provide quicker rehydration than water.
