Answers from Danny M O'Dell:
Q.I have a problem at present,I have been “into” weight lifting for 23 years, not professional or serious all the time, but have recently had shoulder injuries. Two cortisone injections two year ago in each shoulder. Since then my workout has never been as demanding. My left shouldler is sore. Worse in lateral deltoid area, sore when bench pressing, lateral raises, even when squating with 150 + Kg’s. Can you help.

Answer:
The short answer, and one you are not going to like, is to get it looked at by a medical professional, i.e. an orthopedic surgeon, one who is familiar with strength athletes and the injuries we incur.
In my opinion you are describing a damaged rotator cuff muscle and should be consulting with an orthopedic surgeon to find out the extent of damage. You are also nearing the suggested limit of three cortisone shots. Any more than three may possibly cause serious long term degeneration of the joints. As for your squatting have you tried the safety squat bar?
This bar does not require you to hold onto it as it self balances on your shoulders. Even with this bar, if you have torn up your Supraspinatus then the bar and weight will hurt.
