The mission is set!

After months of research and deliberation, the idea for my expedition has now been finalised.

A chance find on the web brought me into contact with a chap call John Wilton-Davies who's already decided upon his goal, and is in the initial stages of bringing it all together.

Johns original aim was to set off in November this year for an unsupported walk from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back again. Due to the withdrawal of a sponsor, and the ensuing lack of inertia, the project stalled a little. Enter Justin Miles, full of "green enthusiasm", and we're off!

November 2010 is the intended start date, with a target time of less than 80 days to complete the mission.

Watch this space for details of my training, both physiological and psychological, as I prepare to take on this enormous challenge.

To help pay for the expedition I'll be offering myself up as a motivational speaker to corporations all over Europe - trying to give people the belief that they really can achieve magnificant things if they have belief in what they're doing, focus on the end result, and the determination to succeed.

If anyone would like to contact me regarding motivational talks, or anything else for that matter, then please do feel free to contact me at
