Hb and Performance
Haemoglobin is part of the red blood cell that "picks" up oxygen when it diffuses from your lungs to blood.
A 15% drop in HB levels will significantly impact upon your exercise performance because you'll have less oxygen carrying capacity.
The haem part of HB is iron. So you need to be tested for anemia which is iron deficiency.
In the mean time take twice the recommended dose of iron per day thats 36 mg.
Placebo
Placebo said it best: "Haemoglobin is the key / To a healthy heart beat / Haemoglobin is the key / To a healthy heart beat" I saw them on the haemoglobin tour right before their singer hit rock bottom and later on turned into one of those drug rehab success stories.
