How to Increase Vertical Jump by Training in the Katapult Training Shoes

This article will teach young aspiring athletes how to properly train and develop their vertical jump as well as their speed and lower leg power. The competitive nature of high schools sports has reached new levels over the last 5 to 7 years. High schools ahletes at the Freshman level are getting looked over by college recruiters. I hope this article brings to light the training tools available in helping young athletes excel in their sport. Step one requires viewing the training DVD that comes with the Katapult shoe. It is only 17-20 minutes in length. The DVD will give you a visual and detailed explanation of the proper mechanics of each drill in the workout. Remember that the Katapult training methodology is so advanced that ATI received a patent pending to protect the content. Once you have viewed the training DVD it is time to hit the field or basketball court. Workout surface is user's preference. The first thing you want to do after putting on the Katapult training shoes is to grab the stretch strap that comes with the shoes and follow the stretching routine on your laminated training card. Pre and post stretching is extremely important as you will be targeting the muscle groups that you will be using during the workout. Starting with the phase one you will follow the workout program on the card. Remember that the Katapult workout is unique because it is science-based and allows you a 52-week in-season/off-season workout. It is very important to follow the directions that are on the workout. Do not deviate from it. Another important note is do not over-train. When you begin training in the Katapult training shoes you will be isolating the muscle groups that enable you to run and jump. This isolation will concentrate on converting slow twitch muscle (white fibers) to fast twitch (red fibers). When you feel your calves start to tighten up you want to end your workout. Rest a minimum of 48 hours before your next workout. Follow the same process. If you are in an off-season or in-season weight training program do the Katapult workout on the same day that you train your lower body. The Katapult training shoe and training methodology is a very serious training tool for increasing vertical jump, speed, leg power, explosiveness and overall conditioning.
