Ganglion causing wrist problems

I am a fit 60 year old woman, exercising for general health and fitness and with a specific goal to reduce body fat (currently about 27%) and hopefully abdominal fat.
Currently I am doing a combination of strength training 3 times a week, aiming to increase muscle mass, cardio about 3 times a week (currently mainly exercise bike and cross-trainer) and yoga and pilates once a week each.
I have a small ganglion on my right wrist which is causing difficulty in two main areas: any exercise where I put weight on my wrist (e.g. "downward dog" and "plank" ) and weight training exercises. I have had it injected with steroid which worked for a few weeks but the symptoms have recurred. The symptoms range from pain at the time of the exercise to pain which persists afterwards. I have had some advice from an exercise physiologist about how to do such exercises as shoulder presses and bench presses with a straight wrist rather than hyper-extending. However I am still having problems especially when I try to increase the weight.
I am very keen to continue with the weight training.
I would like advice about how to do so in an effective way without stressing the wrist. Also any suggestions about what to do about the ganglion.

I can help with these technicalities. I also surrered from wrist problems. Ice it up and it will be fine
