We would like everyone to feel welcome on the Peak Performance forums and to that end we've come up with some basic guidelines for posting on the forums. These guidelines are enforced by our moderators. The rules basically boil down to "please be nice and friendly, and help us to make this a great site to be a part of" - but in more detail…

  • No advertising or commercial postings, including profile pictures. Members that have contributed more than 50 posts may post links to other sites which would be helpful to other forum users.
  • Contributions must be civil and tasteful.
  • No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
  • No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
  • If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts.
  • No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas. These will be removed without consultation.
  • We will be monitoring the validity of posts to ensure users are not exploiting the points system. Examples of this include irrelevant one word answers, incoherent responses or any other post that the forum moderators deem to be “off topic” or nothing more than a blatant attempt to increase their points tally.
  • Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed unless allowed in the relevant local house rules.
  • No impersonation.
  • No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names.
  • No surveys.
  • No petitions.
  • Members are not allowed to use the forums to fundraise – ie, to solicit money from other members. You may refer in your posts to the charities you support, but may not include a link.
  • All press queries must first be approved by the Peak Performance office
  • Please try and avoid text speak
  • Forum members have a right to debate subjects they feel strongly about - but discussions have to be conducted reasonably and within these forum guidelines.

Safety

We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, home address or email address), and please do not include postal addresses of any kind. If you have a helpful address to share, let us know via Private Message and we’ll add it in if we think it’s appropriate.

If using the forum to arrange to meet someone, you do so at your own risk, and Peak Performance accepts no liability for any consequences.

What happens if I don't follow these rules...?

If you fail to abide by these rules your post may be deleted or edited. Be advised that continuing to break the rules may result in action being taken against your account or accounts.

This action may include your relevant account or accounts being placed into pre-moderation or a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in our forums.

If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour we may use whatever information that is available to us about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school or email provider about the infringement/s.
