Hi, having heard some of the feedback about broken legs with pins and plates, I'm not so sure I want to know the truth about the after effects. However, I am 7 weeks in plaster and awaiting to get my plaster removed next week. I'm a bit concerned as I still don't have any feeling in my toes or the right side of my leg. I put a needle down the left side but don't feel it...... Can someone please tell me exactly how long it will take me to get back to normal (if ever) and how long I will be limping (if not for life). I am 39 and have struggled with the plaster being on for this long, not being able to put any weight on it. It doesn't help being overweight by about 4 stone, however, I am prepared to do anything that will get me back on my feet. I love swimming and have been told that this is the best exercise but can someone please advise me what the best practice is as i'm prepared to do anything. Thanks

Broken legs...

I have a broken leg at the moment. It is not that bad tho. It comes off in 3 days. It has been bugging me all summer, as I miss/ed out on the things I really enjoy, like swimming, going to the beach, running and biking. I have heard that my leg will be all gross, with dead skin every where. Yuck! I broke it on the third of january, and it's not THAT serious. Like, I didn't have to have surgery or anything. I am in a full leg cast and that is REALLY annoying. Oh and just a helpful tip,
DON'T JUMP OUT OF WINDOWS UNLESS YOUR SURE YOU WON'T BREAK ANY BONES.
Love and Butterbeers,
Miranda
