I am currently a criminal justice student trying to pass my physical requirments to pass a class. I am spose to run a 1.5 mile in 12:51. I am currently running it in 17:04. I run about twice a week and swim about 3 days a week. I am 6'0 and weight 275lbs. I was wondering if anyone could help me out by giving me running tips to decrease my time.

Try running 3 miles in 35ish

Try running 3 miles in 35ish mins a few times.

Also try interval training - Go down to your narest track. Run 400 metres at 12:51 pace then walk for 90 seconds. Then repeat this until you have completed 1.5 miles (400m x 6 times) or there abouts.
