Hello, somebody could help plan training for 1500 in 3:50 / 55 and 5000 m in 14:50.
What happened is that I lost my coach and my city guanajuato mexico no coaches for these tests.
My time was 4:03 in 1500 and in 5000 15:25, last July.
This is the first year I run track. I want to run the times I mentioned before the national championships for university of my country. The playoffs begin next December and the truth is not to train to improve the times.
Seeking interns found this page if anyone can help me or is coach them would be very grateful. I have 20 years. Thank you.

Welcome

Fernando, I admire your ambitious goals. The questions that need answering are, when do you want to run 3:55 and 14:50?
When are the university championships and where?
What training facilities do you have available? (Track, hills, roads, dirt trails etc?
Do you also work full time or part time as well as study?
What is your current best time for 1500 and 5000? Were these done at altitude where you live or at sea level?
Do you have a group to train with or do you train alone?

The answers to these questions will provide an idea of the scope/time you have for training, resting and recovery.

I am sure there are plenty of people who can help Fernando and with these answers maybe we can do just that.

yours

First of all, thanks for your time and attention.

The competition begins in January next year.
The competition venues vary, the first rounds are over 2000 tracks altitude.
The national finals are on track at about 1000 meters high.
In February, confirmed there are competitions at 500m tall, will attend.
I have available the following services:
Synthetic Track at 2350 meters. (An hour from my house)
Dirt Track at 1700m high.
Flat-rolling terrain.
Land wooded cross-country type 2500-2700 m in height (to 1:30 hours from my home).
My best Timelines last July was on the track of the UNAM in Mexico City at an altitude of 2300m
The times were: 1500 - 5000 4:03 - 15:30 on the road: 15:21
He also ran 800m in February (if specific preparation for the 800), at 1:57
And 10km on the road in the month of August at 32:30 at sea level.
Usually I train alone.
It helps me a coach, but he says he has experienced in 1500, are specialists long runs.
I have available part time and I am student. Study 7:00 to 1:00 pm
This year I want to put all the enthusiasm and reach 100%.
For my next test I think: sleep from 9:45 to 5:45, eat well.

I think my preparation was not good, so I ask for help in this forum. Also I mentioned that I have 4 years running the first 2 and recreational running en route, the third well in training and testing 10km route and the last year he ran the 1500 and 5000.

And never performed strength training or gym, or fexibilidad or anything like that no, the only thing that is trained and run and run.

In the coming months there is some 5km and 10km skills on the road in my region.

Sadudos and Thank you
