Hi. I'm Travis. By profession, I am a physical therapist, currently working my dream job of pediatric (kids) sports medicine. I usually work with kids between 10-18.

Personally, I have participated for the past 5 years in the sport of triathlon. Completed Ironman Wisconsin in 2009 (crossed the finish line with my wife, but because of the foot that crossed the finish line first, she offically beat me by 1 second). I have been lacking a little lately in the distance training, but am looking to get back. I also play sand volleyball on a weekly basis.

Looking forward to reading/researching on the different topics presented here... gotta go look around now.
Take care.
Travis

Hi Travis, welcome aboard! Sorry, but I love the fact that your wife beat you in an Ironman by ONE second -did that cause any friction at home or did you both have a laugh over it?

Hi there Travis, and welcome

Do you think you'll ever be allowed to forget you were beaten? !!

Hey Travis,
Your post caught my eye because of your 'dream profession'. Not sure you have any additional advice, but my 9 year old daughter pulled her groin a little over three weeks ago. She is currently on a regimen of ibuprofen and rest from her doctor, but isn't improving. Any suggestions?

Congrats to your wife;-) and to you too on the Ironman. I actually grew up in Wisconsin, can't imagine doing the Ironman in that humidity!

Thanks for any help you can give!
