The BBC are looking for people in the UK to take part in a TV documentary: The BBC is currently looking for sporty people for a forthcoming documentary series. I would be very grateful if you could circulate this information amongst your members and upload it to your website. Also, please feel free to pass my number on to any suitable people or call me with any suggestions. I am very grateful for your help. Ricochet’s Who Rules the Roost focuses on the work/life balance experienced by modern couples. We are looking for 8 families for the third series and are very keen for one family to contain a parent with a keen interest in sport. This is because we are looking for busy working parents who’s time is not only consumed by work and childcare, but also by a demanding sport. There will be a fee paid to participating families. For many working parents, the obligations and hectic schedules of demanding careers can leave few opportunities to enjoy the perks of parenting. Collecting the children from school, a trip to the park, or an hour spent helping with homework can be a rare treat rather than the norm. It is little wonder that many parents worry they might be missing out. Few working parents have the opportunity to test the waters before deciding whether to put their career on hold and focus on full time parenting, but the BBC is giving some parents this potentially life changing opportunity. Mum and dad will each in turn take two weeks off work to experience the realities of stay-at-home parenthood. At the end, of this period of reflection, they will decide which lifestyle suits them best and whether to reduce their working hours or give up work altogether. The series will be transmitted in autumn 2005 and filming will take place during the summer holidays. Specifically, we are looking for families with younger children (ideally at least one should be pre-school age) and both parents should work full time.
