I have suffered in the past from painful os peroneum syndrome (or POPS as the doctor called it) and was wondering about the likelihood of it reoccurring? Basically I somehow managed to bruise the cuboid bone in my right foot and after a while walking became painful. One of the symptoms was a tight calf and or heel on right leg. I had some bone growths inside my Peroneum Longus which I guess is where the name of the condition comes from. I tried resting it but that didn't work. The sports medicine doctor I went to put my foot inside a boot cast and that caused the pain to go away.
From time to time I get tightness in my right heel and I not sure if that is from over use or just getting old. Any one have any ideas on what I can to do to prevent a reoccurrence of this problem?
