Hi, I am 13 year old girl and recently got into sprinting sort of we did it at school and after school athletics club and i really enojoy it and want to join a proper running/athletics club out of school which actually helps you improve. But i don't know if theirs any point i have had no training and my P.B is 15.31 in the 100m. So is their any point in continuing with this or is this not good enough. Thanks for any replies and advice L.C

I would definately continue. As you said, you want to improve and you will never know how good you can be without trying. 15.31 is respectable time at you age, especially without proper training.

I went from sprinting from school club to a athletics club and improved my time by about 2 seconds over 3 years to sub 11 seconds with the training. Obviously there was maturity but without direction and knowledge from others, I would never of continued. I am about to take my level 1 coaching in athletics as I enjoyed it so much.

Do a search on the web to find your local club.

To find a club if you live in the USA go to usatf.org click on youth athletes and go from there.
You should do it for a while or you will never know if you are good or not.
