Hi everyone, Im a new member of this forum and I am looking for some help. I am a currently producing a short documentary following a student who is training to take part in "Der Towerrun" which is held in Berlin, and is a race in which all the runners race up a tower's staircase. He is a complete begginer with no running experience and needs some advice on taking part in such a challenging race.

If any of you runners out there would be interested in donating some time to help him we would be very greatful. I am particularly interested in speaking with a runner who has taken part in such a race.

I have worked a lot with people in a cross training sense on stair running and have had good success with it as a way of increasing endurance.

All leg muscles and cardio will take such a hammering but especially the calves and i would recommend superset leg training as well as stair running supersets in the lead up to this event. Taper the week before.

Remember to give equal days on, days off rest due to the intensity of this type of training.
