I found your site through an internet search on ski training. I was interested if there would be any mention of a revolving ski deck and found none. Though the information I did find are nice regarding strengthening muscles used in some of the activity of skiing there really is no better skill training than actually skiing.
This is where such devices as the Endless Slope is so wonderful for those skiers and snowboarders who can not train on snow.
Such machines not only made me a better skier but a snowboarder as well and more important has deferred a bad quality of life or maybe even death.
It has been now over 8 years since I had a career as a Chemist, Molecular biologist, Business development, International Sales and Marketing, and in Corporate Marketing in a major fortune 500 company until my health gave out for too much work and travel and not enough exercise and healthy habits. With physical degeneration, muscle atrophy due to over stress I was forced to retire in my 40's trying to live day to day.
Financially strapped and with poor and deteriorating health I needed to do something quickly to head off both of these disastrous life crisis.
Skiing was my answer and having a business that allowed me to ski.
Practicing on a friendâs revolving ski deck stabilized or at least slowed down the degeneration of my body. It brought back my skiing level to my former high school level when I was a ski instructor and in fact surpassed it. I then learned to snowboard and became a snowboard instructor. I then decided to turn my skills toward a business and opened up SnoZone Endless Slope Ski and Snowboard school. That was 6 years ago. Now I have two schools one in Sacramento and one in San Francisco with a hope of opening up a third school. You can learn more about my school at http//www.endlesslope.com.
My body continues to deteriorate but at least I can ski and snowboard and even my surfing skills has been reestablished and now operate a surfing program..
I am happy to be living another day and I am reminded that I am alive through the increase in pain I feel each day throughout my body. But for now I can live with this pain and its limiting affect on my physical activity because I can enjoy skiing and snowboarding any time and surfing when I can get to the water even if it is for only a few minutes or an hour at a time for any of these activities. More is that I can teach others to ski and snowboard and enjoy the sports I love so much using the Endless Slope.
It is funny that there is no mention of these devices such as the Endless Slope in this site. That is why I thought I should write this so maybe someone who enjoys skiing or snowboarding but has a limiting physical disability can learn about the thrill of skiing or snowboarding on the Endless Slope. There is one at the USC medical facility used to rehabilitate sports athletes.
You can find out more about such devices at www.endlesslope.com
