I'm enjoy running marathons and off-road events.
Tend to run 10 to 13 marathons a year with many shorter races in between. I'm not a fast runner but tend to run around a 3:30 to 3:42 marathon consistently.
Due to the climate in NZ it is possible to compete year round with little impact from the weather.
Currently it is mid-summer here - very humid and 25 to 32 degree celcius.
Next run is a 20 miler on 10th January which starts at 12 noon - about 40 mad runners turn up - good start to the running year. :D
