.I'm introducing myself to try to encourage others to do the same!
I'm Mark, a member of the Peak Performance online team and one of the moderators on this site, along with Mike H. I'm not a sports science expert myself - although I work with a few people who are! - so please don't fire any sporty questions at me. Having said that, I will be on here helping people use the forum and can also help you find articles in the pponline.co.uk and sportsinjurybulletin.com archives.
I live in Kent, England, and commute daily to London. But don't get me started on that! I love football (soccer) and support Nottingham Forest, depressingly enough. I'm also into music, books, blogging, Apple computers and keep fancy rats. I lived in Tokyo for a year and am a Japanophile.
My own sporting personal best? Um... let's just say I'm more of a spectator than a participant! But this forum is the place for all you athletes to tell us about your own sporting achievements - and anything else you want to share.
Best wishes
Mark E

Hello every body, I'm new in this forum.
The sport I practice probably is not to popular, but I have been reading the "How to Win" newsletter and found good advice.
I practice Freediving, also known as Breath-hold diving or Apnea Diving, I'm practicing since 8 years old. Also I'm a physician specialized in Pulmonary Medicine.
Hope to find and share good things in this forum

A brief introduction .....
My name is Bob and I'm an active (40+) triathlete (but very average).
I'm a member of a new triathlon club in the North East of England (Ryton Tri) where I'm the main swimming coach, but help out in the other two disciplines as well.
I also do some swim coaching for my partners masters swim squad.
My interests are endurance training (did my first Ironman last year), technical swim coaching (obtained a sport grant for an underwater camera about a year ago and have had great fun making horror movies of swimming technique with my DVD recorder!!) and sports science (I did Engineering at University so I'm always interested in the latest gadgets and software).
Tend to be a regular at Club La Santa in Lanzerote where I've done bike weeks, tri weeks, swim weeks and family holidays!
Hope to share ideas with new friends
