8) I started jogging at 50 and it always hurt. Got a a bicycle 18 months ago and haven't stopped. Have ridden my road bike 7500 miles since with a 8 week break for prostate cancer surgery.
I have done several centruy rides and am now training for the Lotoja Race on Sept. 11, that goes from Logan Utah to Jackson Hole Wyoning
(206 miles in one day). I hope I survive.
The bike never hurts my joints like running did. I have had many pains after 4 to 5 hours in the saddle but they go away and I'm ready to ride.
The best thing about cycling is you can eat almost anything you want.

Hi Galico, Welcome to the greatest sport of all from sunny Australia.
WOW, 330 kilometres in one day thats one hell of a ride, the best of luck to you.
I am 65 now and still ride three times a week.
Just a quick tip that was given to me in a 200 km ride a few years ago, plan your ride to have plenty of short breaks. Before you get back on the bike WALK for 50-100 metres , it's amazing what this does to your legs.
I look forward to hearing of your success
Kind regards Ian
