Hello, my name is Bill, and this is my first post on the forum. I am 44 years old. My favorite training methods are Barbells and some free hand movements such as Push-ups and Pull-ups. I also run and bike. My body fat is just under 10% and I have been training for over 25 years! Some personal bests: No swing dead hang Pull-ups 35 continuous. Push-ups 107 continuous. Clean and Press-225lbs. Barbell Squat-365lbs. Quarter Mile Run Time-:58. I have biked a 25 mile run in 89 min. I think balance is the key to not only training longevity, but to health as well.
Nice to be here. I have been reading this forum for a short time and have been impressed, not only by the helpful advice, but by the way in which it is given as well.
Hope to contribute on a semi-regular basis!
My best to you all.
Bill

I'm new as well. I'm 17, female and in high school track.
i'm really interested in running/sprinting form and training, so i have gathered a lot of knowledge on it. i love finding out new stuff and sharing what i've learned!
My bests aren't up to date, because I've grown since they were taken... so i'll leave them out.
My prefered races are the 100m and 200m, but i can run the 400m pretty well.
Bye, all.

majic,
What is your best time in the 400m?

The best timed one was 76. But I was still terribly out of shape at the time. That was a qualifying, so I haven't run anymore timed ones since then. I'm pretty sure I'm doing better than that in warm-up runs, now.

Oh, and I got a new time on the 100m dash. 13.01 sec. Competetive, at least.

majic,
Yes your time in the 100 is very respectible. What is the number one thing that you would like to do to improve your speed? Such as, lose weight, work on technique, etc.

Well, I'm focusing on my knees at the moment. I overworked them at the coach's direction for a recent track meet. (How could the coach know that my knees weren't built for it?)
Anyway, I'm in rehab and forbidden to run for at least another week. We're doing a lot of strengthening excerises.
It's kind of depressing. No running. :-(
But before, I was working mainly on blocks and passing the baton in relays. Then there was lengthening my stride. Towards the back, of course.
Yeah. That's what.
You?
