You cannot slow jog a km in a minute or brisk walk it either.

The question you should be asking is what type of condition you wish to achieve.

best regards

Hey Sunshine;

I see you really meant 10 minutes for that about a mile either a fast walk or a slow jog. I've read that there is only about a 15% difference in walking than running. I also know that it takes about 20 minutes to really get the heart rate up and the body warmed up to the point of caloric burn. With that said, I'd say that you would have to go at least 3km to get the benefit of the ecercise. As a runner myself, I favor at least a moderate jog. However there are a lot of senior citizens out there walking everyday, and not beating up their body joints like us runners. Brisk walkers could probably outdo us runners for longivity as participants in their exercise injury free. Pick yur posion.
