dont know if i qualify to be here,not athlete just a truck driver who fell off his load and broke tibia and shin bone.well shattered shin bone and am told i will be in cast for up to 6 weeks and an extinsive rehab. happened oct.31 and had surgery on the 18th of nov.have 2 plates and 14 screws.i have good days and bad days. Hard to get around and lay around most of the time.would like to know how everybody else copes with this,i just feel useless and probably sorry for myself,im supossed to provide for my family, now my wife does it and i feel like less of a man for it.

is your wife doing anything at all to show any resentment for having to shoulder a bit more whilst your recovering?

Have the surgeons given you any indication of how long it will take before you return to work?
