I've resently just finished four years at college and love sports but i'm finding it hard to find coaching jobs in my local area. I have damaged my left knee which also makes it harder to improve my skills and it is also harder to find a job. I would love to work within schools my tutor says i have a nack with working with second year children (ages 8-12 roughly). I'm having problems sorting my knee out though the physio hasn't got a clue with whats wrong which makes it harder for me to say what i can and can't do. Can anyone help me? Should i go help out at schools or not? I was also thinking of applying to a couple of jobs as well but i don't know whether to or not? I would feel as though i'm letting them down for i would not be able to work to the best of my abilities!

Where I live You need at least 2yrs experience working with children in your chosen sport. Cache 22, no work=no experience, no experience=no work I also had to provide a police search to work with minors & "Adults at Risk"
You might have to find a position as a"Trainee Coach" under a "Senior Coach" to gain your experience & their trust.
I wish you well in your venture. DON'T GIVE UP :)
