Describe your traditional approach, then I may be able to come up with some alternatives.
I would suggest that although warming up and stretching is important to avoid injury, too much emphasis could put off some golfers though.
Do you use a club while stretching? This may make them feel more comfortable. Lateral bends and twists with the golf club held behind the neck, stretch up and down etc.

Dear Carniem,
instead of helping them get flexible, and be oh so serious about it, why not just try to make it more fun, and easier to do? Not everyone is flexible and it can be hard on some people to even try the exercises. Why do something that everyone can do. Loosen up, and enjoy golf.

Some training tips for athletes:-
Match your abilities and interests.
Training is largely about consistency and focus.
Avoid overtraining.
Vary your pace, workouts and intensity to enjoy.
Be flexible.
Set realistic goals.
Be patient.
Be consistent.
