Will cross training help my improve my 200m and 400m times?

I run 200m and 400m, last year I got to the English schools national track and field championships for the 200m. I currently train 3 times a week. Would doing swimming and cycling or anything else help me improve my times? Also is there anything else I could add to my training instead of just running and circuits to help me improve? All comments would be greatly appreciated!!!
