I have been suffering from a sore left hamstring now for nearly six months. I am a runner and pronate most on the injured leg and wear customised orthotics. I've had extensive physiotherapy and have made some progress on strengthening and making my hamstring more pliable but I still get a recurring pain towards the top of the muscle. The sciatic nerve may be implicated and acupuncture has been tried without success.
I continue to work on strengthen the hamstring and gluteals and do light running. I get the sense that my treatment options are running out. I wonder what alternatives remain ?
